A Stroll Along Nice, France’s Promenade des Anglais

July 2024, we spent a couple of weeks in Nice, France. While there, the Tour de France preparations were happening (we left two days before the athletes peddled to the finish line), and the Bastille Day parade and memorials for the victims of the 2016 tragedy were happening. This visit was different for us as we felt more entwined in the community. I’ve written a few previous posts on Nice, featuring Old Town, what to wear in, and towns around, the French Riviera. As I was reminiscing about this city (which I still have so much exploring to do) I felt compelled to share some additional photos of this very picturesque and vibrant city.

The Promenade des Anglais ready for the Tour de France athletes and spectators.

I don’t think these women were part of the official Tour de France, lol! Bike rentals are available in different areas of the city. A convenient and fun way to see the city!

Along the Promenade des Anglais you’ll find endless options of hotels, restaurants and casinos, surrounded by art and lush vegetation. And of course, across the road is the amazing Mediterranean Sea with the famous beach club umbrellas.

Remembering the victims of the 2016 tragedy.

Colorful buildings and a vast array of flowers, plants and trees line the streets of Nice.

View opposite of the Sea from our Airbnb rooftop. Très Magnifique!

À bientôt! J’espère à Nice!
