Any moment spent by a body of water is a blessing to me. The ebb and flow of tides, the fluidity of soft ripples and waves, or the crashing intensity, the calm serenity of a lake, the unknown beneath the surface, all signify life in its fullest. It’s no wonder why when we travel, we go where there is water where I feel most alive, energetic and peaceful. All seems to be forgotten, except who I am, what I dream and love. There is a little woods behind my house that I imagine is the door to a magical sea! As I near a milestone age, so many things change, which we cannot always control. Like water flowing, so is our lives. When our lives are in transition, we may feel like we’re on a sinking boat. In reality, if we made it to midlife we should be setting sail to the beauty ahead!
Le vrai nous translates to “the real us”, so that’s what it’s all about. I’ve exhausted the search for perfect wrinkle creams, remedies to grow long, lush hair and trying to be perfect. Aging as graceful as possible, living the fullest each day, and being my best, physically and mentally, is my authentic goal. We’re perfect when our outsides and insides match, and we all deserve to feel good about ourselves. Understanding how life can feel like without emotional support, struggling with self image, and tackling these issues while moving forward with confidence and style, is the soul of this blog. I hope when you visit, you find inspiration and connection as I share travel escapades, style insights, ways to keep every day living fun, along with some topics a little more gritty.
I look forward to presenting nothing but the real here!
Joie!
